In 2005, Avis Budget Group sought to extend its AARP discounts and other association offers to include a military offer. WeSalute, founded as Veterans Advantage, worked with the company’s government marketing team to create their military discount and collaborated to effectively message and promote the program.

Today, the Avis Budget Group operates 8,500 locations globally through its Avis and Budget brands. As our longtime partner, Avis Budget Group continues to successfully promote its rental car military discounts through our reciprocal marketing and verification partnership.

The Avis Budget military customer experience is driven by easy car rental reservation and travel discount redemption. Eligible military customers and their families can redeem immediately using their WeSalute+ ID at Avis and Budget car rental counters worldwide. Or, they may enroll for the offer and book directly on avis.com and budget.com. 

With the success of the program, Avis Budget Group expanded our partnership to include a military discount on Budget Truck Rentals and pre-owned car sales on the Avis and Budget fleet.

WeSalute's member savings with Avis and Budget are widely promoted on our partner marketing platform, the WeSalute Marketplace, under the Avis and Budget brands.
